Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps are designed with extra length, compared to standard running boards, extending from the front wheels all the way to the back. You not only get solid footing for climbing in and out of the truck cab, but you also get a convenient step up when reaching into the truck bed. This is ideal on work trucks in commercial, industrial, construction and agricultural settings, providing quicker, easier access to a truck tool box, ladder rack or cargo in the truck bed. Unlike many other truck running boards, Grip Steps offer fleet-grade safety. They are made with expanded metal treads instead of plastic step pads. These treads provide superior traction in wet or muddy conditions, common on the jobsite, and the expanded metal locks onto your shoes or boots, giving you reliable footing for stepping into your truck. Grip Step wheel-to-wheel steps feature a 7" width for a generous, comfortable stepping surface. The expanded metal treads of Grip Step running boards also work to keep your truck cab clean. Because the expanded metal is open, it allows dirt, sand, snow, mud and any other debris to pass through the boards. When you step up, the debris is knocked off your feet and kept outside the truck where it belongs. To give Grip Step wheel-to-wheel running boards the upper hand in any work setting, we construct them from powder-coated aluminum. Aluminum allows us to ensure that these truck side steps remain lightweight and completely rust-resistant in spite of frequent exposure to the elements. Aluminum also offers excellent strength. To maximize corrosion resistance and give these aluminum running boards a sleek, professional look on your truck, they also come with a highly durable textured black powder coat finish. Grip Step aluminum running boards are equipped with hardened plastic end caps to add further protection against the jobsite. The caps not only eliminate dangerous sharp corners on the boards and add a stylish finish, but they also provide a buffer against gravel spray and other small road debris. Installation of Grip Step 7" wheel-to-wheel running boards is perhaps one of the easiest jobs you'll ever undertake. Each set is designed vehicle-specific, meaning it's customized for installation on your own unique truck without tedious modifications and heartache. The brackets use pre-existing mounting points and offer a custom fit. They are constructed from high-strength steel for enhance rigidity, and they have a powder coat finish for lasting reliability.
